Angela St. Julien – Taking Domaining by Storm!

Angela St. JulienYou don’t know Angela, you say. Get used to seeing that big smile because you will know her!

I admit that after more than 15 years in this business, I’ve become jaded and cynical and sometimes a little bit bored. Then along came Angela St. Julien! It’s been a very long time since I’ve met a new comer to the industry with her drive, dedication and devotion.

I “met” Angela when one of her posts showed up on my Facebook feed. This was the first post I ever saw from her:

Are you excited when you wake up and get ready for work?

I just needed to express how excited I am to wake up every morning and do something that I love! How many of you get to say the same?

I have met a lot of people in the Domain Industry this year, and some have been extremely good to me. I have made a lot of contacts, and have expanded my network exponentially, but I would be remiss if I did not mention that I have also made some friends. You know who you are, and I am blessed to have you.

I just wanted to end my night by saying that I love this business! I am actually excited to wake up tomorrow and “go to work.” I’m excited about seeing you all here on Facebook tomorrow listing your domains, commenting in threads, and sharing your thoughts with me!

I love reading your posts, comments, and watching your funny videos… I just love coming to work everyday!

Thank you all for the part you play in making this the best job i’ve ever had! I hope you all enjoy it just as much if not more than I do!

Good Night and Good Morning Domainer Family!

~Angela St. J

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen somebody as enthusiastic and driven as Angela. She sets goals and has a vision for what will happen at each point. Check out her new chair on Facebook acquired when her goal of $4000 for the month fell just short and her chair was how she rewarded herself. Next month the desk!

Angela runs Brand.Bar where she interviews many of our colleagues in the industry in what she calls Happy Hour Chat. The interviews are done via GoToMeeting and I’ve really enjoyed the ones I’ve attended. Yesterday it was Karen Bernstein who is one of the best IP attorneys to be found. Karen shared some great information and you can view the interview here if you missed it. This was, by far, my favorite.

Another Happy Hour Chat that Angela hosted was a NamesCon 2015 Recap. It was so much fun hearing the people who did all the hard word tell their stories about NamesCon 2015. I like that you can interact with questions and comments with the speakers. It adds a new dimension to the interview that I haven’t seen done before.

Head over to Brand.Bar (pssst..some news is coming on that topic) and have a peek at the other chats.

One trait I value in my industry friends is the willingness to champion everyone’s hope and dreams. The ability reach out and help the other guy up a little! That’s Angela’s strong point. She wants everyone to succeed and will step up to help them.

A little Leprechaun told me that March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day, Angela will be doing a very special show about escrow. You won’t want to miss this one! Who will she be interviewing? Well…it’s about escrow so it’s Angela’s style to bring in the best. She’ll be talking to Brandon Abbey and Mauli Fry of Escrow.com and they have some exciting news to share.

You can learn more about Angela by reading her interview (and do one yourself!) at DomainQueen.com

I expect big things from Angela down the road and I’m happy to call her “friend”!
